- Karthikeya 2
Karthikeya 2 is a mystery action-adventure saga written and directed by Chandoo Mondeti. It stars Nikhil Siddharth and Anupama Parameswaran in key roles. The Himachal Pradesh rivers, Bundelkhand’s desert, Govardhan’s hills, and Dwaraka’s lanes are subtly woven into the mystery thriller’s plot, representing the country’s exquisite diversity. In Karthikeya 2, mythology and contemporary science are used adaptively. The film will have its global premiere on ZEE5 Global on October 5th, 2022, in Tamil and Telugu.
- OMG: Oh My God!
The film is a satirical comedy released in 2012. It is an authorized remake of the Australian movie The Man Who Sued God. The protagonist of the tale is the atheist owner of an antique shop named Kanji (Paresh Rawal). He files a lawsuit against God for the “Act of God” and bears its costs. But throughout, Lord Krishna (Akshay Kumar) stands next to him in disguise. Kanji now understands the distinction between an all-powerful God and a fake God.
- Raavan
A film that garnered attention for its cast, timeless soundtrack, and its Ramayana-inspired plot. Raavan centers on a bandit named Beera, a cop’s kidnapped wife named Ragini, and Dev, the cop himself. The movie generally follows the Ramayana with a subtly surprising twist at the very end, as compared to the epic. Sadly, not even the aforementioned twist could turn this ship around.
- Raajneeti
Many Mahabharata characters are depicted in Prakash Jha’s Rajneeti. It is portrayed in a contemporary political setting, either directly or indirectly. While Manoj Bajpai portrayed the antagonist Duryodhana and played the leader of the opposition. Ajay Devgn, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, and Nana Patekar dominated the protagonist roles. The entire Bahubali series served as a synopsis of both the Ramayana and the Mahabharat. Similar to Kaurav and Pandava, there was a competition between the two brothers in the first episode of the series. Additionally, Mahendra Bahubali was depicted quitting his position of royalty in the second installment due to his mother, just like Ram did in the Ramayana.

Hum Saath Saath Hai is a classic family film directed by Sooraj R. Bharjatiya. The storyline is again based on a scene from the Ramayana, in which Ram was compelled to flee his life of grandeur and spend 14 years in the jungle. In Hum Saath Saath Hai, a mother of three urged her husband to force her step son to reside in Ramgarh in a similar situation.
